About The Role
Key responsibilities:
* Ensure the smooth and efficient daily operation of the Front Office to the highest standards of guest satisfaction.
* Deliver a warm welcome and ensure outstanding and personalised guest care throughout the entire stay.
* Handle and resolve guest complaints promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and follow-through.
* Manage daily business activities, ensuring VIPs groups, and all guests receive personalised attention.
* Foster strong internal communication through regular team meetings and updates.
* Assist with room allocation to ensure a controlled and effective process.
* Maximise revenue opportunities through proactive promotion of hotel facilities and services.
* Uphold hotel policies regarding invoicing, cash handling and credit control.
* Maintain impeccable presentation and cleanliness of the Front Desk and associated areas.
* Collaborate effectively with other departments including Reservations, Accommodation, Nights, Concierge, Sales and F&B.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience in a similar or supervisory role within a luxury hotel environment.
* Proven experience acting as Duty Manager.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* A natural flair for hospitality, with a passion for exceeding guest expectations.
* Must be familiar with the Opera reservations system .
* Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Strong upselling and cross-selling abilities.
* Positive, proactive attitude with a desire for continuous improvement.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, etc.

* Held a similar or supervisory role in a similar hotel
* The ability to work shift work and be available to work full time
Desired Criteria
* Acted in the capacity of Duty Manager
