About the role
A brief summary
A Network Engineer configures and supports layer 3 transport and maintains a broad layer 2 domain within an existing infrastructure for our client, a leading esports specialist. Your day will involve supporting networking for the remote broadcasting of live video events. This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities. A candidate should be comfortable rapidly triaging and resolving network issues in high-pressure live environments.
What you'll be responsible for
1. Manage and support networks that power Riot's global events and competitive environments
2. Actively engage with other teams to build resilience into the system
3. Ensure systems are appropriately documented, and that documentation is maintained
4. Manage ambiguity within complex and diverse problem spaces, breaking down problems and clearly communicating trade-offs throughout development
5. Support global events on-site & remotely
This role is for you if
1. 3+ years experience working with a medium (20+) scale network
2. Experience managing and troubleshooting Layer 2/3 networking issues
3. In-depth knowledge of either Cisco or Juniper CLI
4. Understanding of network security concepts: stateful firewalls and DDoS mitigation
5. Functional knowledge of DHCP, DNS, NAT, QoS, SNMP, Syslog
6. Practical experience troubleshooting BGP
7. JNCIP-EN/CCNP enterprise or equivalent experience
8. Experience with Palo Alto appliances and Cisco Nexus
9. Experience with Multicast, IPSec, SDWAN, WiFi
10. Experience supporting traveling events, roadshows or conferences
11. Experience supporting live video production
