Accounts Assistant
A dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant is required to support our client's Finance and Business Operations teams. This pivotal role plays a crucial part in maintaining seamless financial operations across projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process sales invoices while managing outstanding payments to ensure strong cash flow.
* Set up and manage supplier and customer profiles in ERP and accounting systems.
* Conduct monthly supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
* Maintain compliance by managing Supplier VAT 56 B forms and archiving financial records.
* Work closely with project managers to verify billing details for accuracy.
* Provide financial administrative support, including reporting and approval coordination.
* Create and process purchase orders to support project teams and engineers.
* Oversee stores organisation, ensuring inventory accuracy, safety, and waste management.
* Manage incoming deliveries, recording data and monitoring supply chain reliability.
* Maintain procurement and financial records to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience in finance administration within a project-based or service-oriented business.
* Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
* Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders.
