AECOM is recruiting for Client Engineers to join our growing T&D team based in the Republic of Ireland.
The need arises from AECOM securing a place on a new multi-year framework with EirGrid that will be require client engineers at all levels to provide technical services on projects from development to construction.

The T&D department delivers project management, design and owners engineer role for electrical power projects at transmission and distribution voltages across Ireland and across the world.
The focus of the team is large-scale grid infrastructure, grid connections, and private networks.

Here's what you'll do:The work can be varied and there will an opportunity to gain experience in the role but will consist of the following:Developing primary plant layouts for HV substationsCreating equipment specifications for HV Plant and associated equipmentProviding engineering design input to major infrastructure projectsClient engineer/Owners' Engineer role on HV substation/Cable and OHL projectsProviding HV design input to renewable energy projects e.g., Battery storage, Solar, Hydro and Wind generationProviding professional services to clients in Ireland/UK and overseasEnjoy the Perks.

Here's what we're looking for:A Degree in Electrical EngineeringExperience of working on HV projectsExperience of working with major utilities or developersExperience as a Designer or as a Project EngineerExperience of developing specifications for substation control systems, transformers, GIS, and AIS switchgear.Ability to work flexibly across multiple projects.Fluency in EnglishFull driving License with access to a car as site visits will be requiredDesirable Skills & Experience: Experience of working on multi-discipline engineering projectsChartered accreditation or working toward statusConsultancy experienceExperience in reviewing review detailed designs & witnessing construction site activities.Candidates without specific HV experience that can demonstrate competency for the key skills required for the role will also be consideredWe celebrate diversity, including neurodiversity, and believe it enriches our team.
