Talbot Hotel Stillorgan, part of the Talbot Collection, is recruiting an experienced Assistant Accommodation Manager to support the Accommodation Manager in daily operations and office work, with the ability to step in and run the department if needed. Ensure that all guest bedrooms and public areas are cleaned to the highest standard.

Main Duties
* Responsible for the smooth running of the Accommodation Department in line with SOPs, budgets, and relevant legislation
* Ensure all housekeeping staff comply with the hotel’s policy regarding uniform, personal hygiene, and Health & Safety
* Support the Accommodation Manager in developing, training and coaching housekeeping staff to hotel standards
* Assist in creating, updating, and implementing departmental SOPs
* Be aware of day’s business, including room occupancy, special requirements and VIP needs
* Liaise with Reception regarding room moves, VIP guests, and special needs; act on information provided
* Issue keys, room lists, house assistant checklists and cleaning schedules to housekeeping staff at shift start and review at end of shift
* Check work assigned to Room Assistants, Linen Porters and Maintenance to ensure standards are met
* Regularly inspect guest rooms and public/recreational areas for cleanliness and presentation
* Ensure maintenance work in bedrooms, laundry and public areas is completed before rooms are released
* In the absence of the Accommodation Manager, create and input weekly roster into Timepoint before the deadline, considering hotel status (arrival/departure/occupancy)
* Assist in daily control and update of staff attendance in Timepoint for payroll accuracy
* In the absence of the Accommodation Manager, manage the ordering of supplies and maintain stock levels of stationery, linen and amenities
* Support the Accommodation Manager to identify recruitment needs and address labour shortages
Requirements
* Ideally 2+ years' experience in a similar role
* Excellent command of the English language
