The successful candidate will work on a number of projects consecutively, reporting to relevant Project Director.Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Design & Concept DevelopmentLead interior architecture design from concept to detailed design across hospitality and retail environments.Conduct site visits and surveys to understand the project's context and constraints, contributing to the development of design strategies.Produce strong space planning, layouts, and customer journey-driven design solutions.Prepare design narratives, mood boards, and presentation packs for client reviews.Develop interior architectural elements including partitions, ceilings, bespoke joinery, lighting intent, finishes, and key details.Source and specify materials, furnishings, fixtures, and finishes that meet project specifications and budget considerations.Stay up-to-date with the latest interior design trends, materials, and technologies, bringing fresh ideas to the team.Technical Design & DocumentationProduce and oversee high-quality AutoCAD drawing packages across all project stages.Develop coordinated drawing sets: GA plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and specifications.Coordinate and manage drawing registers, issue sheets, in accordance with Studio standards.Ensure documentation is accurate, buildable, and aligned with project program and budget.Coordination & ComplianceCoordinate with multidisciplinary consultants (MEP, structural, lighting, fire, accessibility, acoustics, signage/branding, etc.), to ensure a seamless and integrated design approach.Support compliance coordination in line with Irish requirements (as applicable to project type), such as:accessibility, fire and life safety strategy (in collaboration with relevant specialists), coordination with Building Control processes where relevant.Identify risks early and propose practical technical solutions without compromising design intent.Site & DeliveryAttend site meetings, carry out inspections, and support contractor coordination through construction.Review submittals and shop drawings (e.g., joinery, stone, metalwork, partitions, specialist finishes).Respond to RFIs and site queries; support snagging, handover, and close-out documentation.Client & Stakeholder ManagementLead client communication on day-to-day design and delivery matters.Present design and technical information clearly to clients and project stakeholders.Support fee proposals, scope definition, and change control where required.Team Leadership & MentoringDelegate tasks effectively while maintaining quality, consistency, and deadlines.Guide and mentor junior designers, providing direction and constructive feedback.Required Experience and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture, Architecture or Interior DesignMinimum of 7 years' post graduate experience in an Irish or UK commercial design practice, with a proven track record of leading and delivering design projectsExperience in Hospitality, Leisure or Retail environments is a distinct advantageYou need to be experienced in controlling & managing projects, liaising with clients and leading design teams to ensure effective project deliveryYou need to have strong conceptual skills, excellent knowledge of interior detailing and FF&E specificationExperience with sustainable design approaches and material responsibility (e.g., low-VOC, circularity, EPDs), is an advantageStrong communication, organisation, and leadership skills are requiredAdvanced knowledge of AutoCad is essentialProficiency in Sketchup, Photoshop, Corel, 3D studio Max or Cinema 4D is a distinct advantageFull understanding & expert knowledge of current building regulations, BCAR & standards is essentialSite experience (at least 2 years) is requiredFull clean driving licence and own car is requiredFluent written and spoken English is required.Working hours: 9am – 5.30pm, Monday to FridayVisa Status:You must be fully registered to work in Ireland/EU, with all required visas, stamps, permit etc in place to work full time in Ireland.Salary:A competitive package that reflects your experience and skills is on offer with a fantastic opportunity for growth within an established and highly successful design studio.To apply: Please send CV together with link to your your portfolio/work examples.
