Currently hiring an experienced Support Worker for Depaul in their Dublin operation.

: €32,691 – €39,900 per annum
Working Hours
: 35 hrs/week
This position provides an excellent opportunity to support service teams across Dublin.

Reporting directly to the Local Management Team, the role involves responding promptly to service user needs and security alerts, ensuring their safety, welfare and well-being, particularly during night shifts.

Responsibilities
Be a member of a multi-disciplinary team using holistic approaches.
Work within the principle of harm minimisation, providing high levels of care, support and dignity to residents.
Support service user participation and empower residents to manage their own lives.
Offer personal care and support relating to hygiene, upholding the dignity and respect of residents.
Prompt service users to take their medication regularly.
Assist high support needs residents with morning routines, including washing, dressing and incontinence management (in the privacy of rooms).
Monitor for pressure areas and implement preventive measures.
Adapt levels of assistance to individual resident needs to promote independence.
Maintain hygiene standards and infection prevention.
Operate to prevent cross-infection using recognised infection control measures.
Maintain a safe and hygienic living environment for residents.
Provide laundry support, particularly for residents with incontinence issues.
Support residents to maintain cleanliness in bedrooms and participate in daily activities.
Ensure residents' nutritional needs are met and assist with feeding when required.
Encourage a well-balanced diet and appropriate hydration.
Ensure food storage is hygienic and safe where appropriate.
Respond to nursing direction to support hydration and nutrition.
Liaise with the Shift Coordinator, participate in handovers when in attendance.
Report all incidents according to Depaul's Incident Management procedure.
Support other staff in maintaining order and organisation in the house.
Requirements
Have completed a third-level qualification or QQI Level 5 in social care or another suitably related area.
Experience of service user activity planning is desirable.
Experience of lone working or off-site working is an advantage.
Good working knowledge of risk assessment processes and systems (e.g., service user risk assessment, lone working, activity risk assessments).
