Role / Requirements:
Weltec Engineering Ltd is one of Ireland's leading mechanical and electrical engineering companies, delivering complex projects across Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Public Works, Industrial and Commercial sectors.
Due to continued expansion, we are now seeking experienced Orbital Welders to join our team on a prominent client site in Kildare.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform high-quality orbital welding on stainless steel and/or carbon steel piping systems.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, isometrics and weld maps.
Set up, program and operate Orbitalum (Orbimatic) orbital welding equipment.
Ensure welds meet strict project and industry quality standards, including pharmaceutical-grade specifications where required.
Work collaboratively with pipefitters, supervisors and QA personnel.
Adhere to site safety procedures and maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
Carry out routine equipment maintenance and ensure safe operation at all times.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Proven experience as an Orbital Welder, ideally within pharmaceutical, industrial or cleanroom environments.
Strong skills in pipe preparation, set-up, alignment and fabrication.
Experience with stainless steel and/or carbon steel pipework.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and compliance.
Reliable, safety-conscious and professional.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
EN ISO ***** – Welding Operator Qualification (Orbital Welding)
Orbitalum / Orbimatic Orbital Welding Training or Certification (advantageous and preferred)
