HRM is currently seeking a motivated, experienced Systems Test Engineer for a critical contract engagement with an industry leader at the forefront of automotive technology. Based in Limerick, Ireland, you will join the pioneering Wireless Battery Management Systems (BMS) team.
In this role, you will be embedded within a sophisticated System Test Team, blending systems engineering discipline with test expertise to ensure the quality and resilience of planetary-scale electric vehicle solutions. You will analyze complex specifications, collaborate with cross-functional hardware and software teams, and devise rigorous verification strategies across the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Ensure the absolute quality of complex wireless Battery Management Systems (BMS) through comprehensive systems verification activities.
Analyze requirements, system specifications, and implementations to devise rigorous, end-to-end test strategies.
Execute validation testing to confirm both functional correctness and product resilience across the full development lifecycle.
Work closely with Hardware and Software Design, System Applications, System Architecture, and Quality teams within an ASPICE model framework.
Utilize and optimize continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines, test automation frameworks, and software revision control.
Experience
Minimum BSc or BEng in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline (MSEE or MSCE preferred).
Solid understanding of Systems Engineering and formal testing of complex systems, ideally within the automotive sector.
Hands‑on system test or development experience compliant with an ASPICE model.
Proficiency in embedded C/C++ and Python or other programming/scripting languages.
Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills alongside familiarity with test tools, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience or exposure to functional safety verification, OTA update security testing, automated silicon validation, wireless/RF networking, or requirements management tools is highly advantageous.
