Job Description
We are recruiting for an Account Director who is an exceptional and driven media planner to join our Client Services team. You will play a key role in managing client relationships, driving revenue, and coordinating internal teams to deliver exceptional media strategies from planning to execution. You will get the opportunity to design exciting, award‑winning campaigns as well as work with channel specialists to make those plans a reality. This involves everything from defining the approach to audience, designing the connections plan across both brand & performance using all relevant touchpoints as well as advising on media innovation and measurement.
Key Accountabilities
* Client Planning
Attend client briefing meetings and distil the client challenges and the role for dentsu services to deliver these challenges, ensuring measurable objectives in place. Construct overall media strategy in answer to the client brief (getting support from Business Director and Strategy team if required). Translate client brief into detailed internal brief. With the client’s overarching strategy and objectives in mind, review and collate individual channel plans into an overall plan whilst providing supporting rationale. Day‑to‑day management of campaigns as a key liaison between clients and channel specialists.
* Client Management
Be the main point of contact for clients and understand requirements. Manage delivery of all post‑campaign analyses – working with your direct team and specialists. Deliver strategic review of competitive activity, QBR presentations.
* Team
Ensuring that teams are skilled up and resourced appropriately and support with upskilling. Ownership of delivery of Performance Development Reviews including development plans for direct reports; proactive identification and management of performance issues.
* Operational Finance
Responsible for accurate and timely invoicing to our clients. Responsibility for working with AMs and specialists to ensure effective management of client budgets and invoicing.
Skills & Experience – Must Have
* Excellent planning, analytical and organisational skills alongside high attention to detail.
* Exceptional offline and digital media experience, and how they work together.
* Ability to interpret data and performance results into actionable recommendations.
* Continually optimise paid activity to ensure campaigns meet KPIs and targets.
* Ability to brief effectively and challenge responses.
* Commercial awareness and exceptional financial acumen.
* Articulate presenter with the ability to present to senior clients and internal agency teams.
* Commitment to deliver first‑class work every time, and never leave a quality issue unchecked.
* Understanding of the media landscape in Ireland.
* Ability to problem solve and focus on solutions.
* An open mind, be flexible and embrace an agile way of working.
Key Experiences
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a media agency.
* Leading a team to deliver best‑in‑class campaigns.
* Exceptional client management and communication skills.
* Planning Digital media channels such as Display, Search and Social.
