About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and capable Criminal Defence Solicitor to join Ireland's leading public interest and human rights law practice in Dublin. This is a busy and growing Legal Practice.
They are seeking a Criminal Defence Solicitor to join their growing dynamic criminal defence team in their circuit and superior court section.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of criminal matters, representing clients at all stages of the criminal justice process.
You will play a key role in advising and defending clients, attending Garda stations, preparing cases, and representing clients in court.
Key Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and representation to clients in criminal matters
Attend Garda stations to advise clients during interviews and detention
Prepare and manage case files, including reviewing evidence and taking instructions
Draft legal documents, motions, and submissions
Liaise with barristers, Gardaí, prosecution, and court services
Maintain strong client relationships and ensure clear communication throughout
Requirements
Experience in criminal defence law as either a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a current practising Certificate.
Experience in criminal defence.
Experience attending Garda stations is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of the Irish criminal law and court procedures.
The ability to work to deadlines.
