What is the Role
The Group Resilience First Line Assurance and Advisory team is responsible for high quality assurance across Enterprise Delivery.
The team provides assurance and advisory reviews on the control environment across a wide breadth of Operations.
The remit includes dedicated assurance programmes for Financial Crime and Group-wide Third-Party Management (TPM).
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role within the organisation providing objective assurance as well as valuable advisory services to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
Key accountabilities
Lead assurance reviews including defining the scope, test plans, execution of testing and draft reports
Manage and prioritise deliverables with close attention to detail and consistently meeting deadlines
Take ownership of projects and responsibilities, ensuring objectives are achieved with accountability
Effective problem-solving and adaptability in the face of changing business needs and timelines
Proactive communication skills, keeping stakeholders informed and seeking support when needed to maintain progress
Proven capability in managing people, fostering a collaborative team environment, and supporting individual development to achieve collective objectives
Honesty, integrity, tenacity, adaptability and multitasking abilities
Demonstrate commitment to personal development and a results-oriented approach to professional growth
Engagement in team collaboration and community initiatives, actively contributing to shared goals and timeline
What you will bring
Minimum 5 years' experience in a regulated financial services environment with experience in assurance/audit
The ideal candidate would either have or be studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA, CIA, ACA etc)
Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
Ability to work collaboratively towards shared objectives
Track record of driving deliverables to completion
Ability to balance flexible and hybrid work arrangements while maintaining a high level of productivity and accountability
A self-starter, with a strong work ethic, who can either work independently or as part of a team with an ability to act with discretion and confidentiality
