We are recruiting for a Payroll Specialist on behalf of our client, a leading organisation based in Little Island, Cork. The role offers a hybrid work model and presents a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional with strong Irish payroll experience to manage the end-to-end payroll process.
As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll for all employees. Your responsibilities will include:
* Collating and reviewing payroll information from various business units, ensuring all data is accurate before processing
* Processing weekly payroll using Sage Payroll
* Preparing bank files for upload and generating detailed payroll reports for management
* Creating and posting weekly payroll journals to the accounting package
* Maintaining the employee master file and database
* Managing the final payroll for all leavers
* Dealing with queries from employees, depot managers, and accountants with professionalism and clarity
* Completing salary certificates and other necessary forms for employees
* Performing ad hoc reports and analysis as required
* Collaborating effectively as part of a supportive payroll team
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in end-to-end Irish payroll and possess the following key competencies:
* Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
* An extremely high level of attention to detail and accuracy
* A high level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Strong written and spoken English
* The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
* A strong work ethic and a proactive approach to tasks
