Job Summary
The Senior Engineering Analyst, Electrical position is based out of Constellation Solutions (CGS), Fort Smallwood site in Baltimore, MD.
Primary Purpose of Position
Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of Power plant operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Perform advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of Power plant operations, responsible for technical decisions, and detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems. Mentor other engineers, manage engineering issues.
Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying general engineering principles.
Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assurance of standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes in preparation of plans and specifications.
Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
Perform all other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management including department duty coverage, call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, Engineering Technology, etc.) and 6 years of related industry experience OR
Associate's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science Engineering, Engineering Technology, etc.) and 8 years of related industry experience OR
High school diploma/GED and 9 years of power or related industry experience with 6 of the 9 years at the exempt-level.
Working knowledge of engineering processes and systems required for the specific functional area.
Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.
Qualifications
Apparatus testing or hands on relay experience. Field work experience a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
