Key Responsibilities Health & Safety Leadership Lead and manage all site health & safety activities.
Develop and implement the site H&S strategy aligned with company objectives.
Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement, coaching, and leadership visibility.
Chair site safety committee meetings.
Compliance & Governance Ensure compliance with all relevant HSA legislation and regulatory requirements.
Maintain and update risk assessments, method statements, and safe operating procedures.
Manage external audits and regulatory inspections.
Maintain ISO 45001 (or equivalent) management systems where applicable.
Risk Management Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
Lead hazard identification and risk reduction initiatives.
Oversee contractor safety management and permit-to-work systems.
Ensure machinery and plant meet safety standards.
Incident Management Lead investigations into accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventative actions.
Track and report KPIs such as TRIR, LTIs, and near-miss reporting.
Training & Development Deliver H&S induction and ongoing training programmes.
Identify training needs and ensure compliance with mandatory certifications.
Coach managers and supervisors on safety responsibilities.
Environmental Responsibilities (if applicable) Manage environmental compliance including waste management and emissions.
Monitor sustainability and environmental initiatives.
