Job Title: Claims Handler
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day claims process, ensuring efficient and high-quality service to all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Managing First Notification of Loss (FNOL) claims, including notifications, processing, and communication with relevant parties.
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
* Recording all notifications, reserve amendments, and payments accurately within deadlines.
* Supporting month-end and quarterly reporting for insurers.
* Liaising with brokers, insurers, customers, and third parties to deliver excellent claims service.
* Appointing approved repairers, loss adjusters, engineers, medical, and legal experts as required.
* Contributing to departmental efficiency and best practice.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 1 year experience in claims handling or a related field.
* Professional certifications such as APA or grandfathered status, with CIP qualification desirable.
* Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, claims regulations, and relevant legislation.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.
* Ability to work independently with a structured approach.
* Flexible, proactive, and able to prioritize effectively.
* A strong team player with a customer-focused mindset.
