Job Summary
The Maintenance Operator is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and conducting repairs on equipment, machinery and facilities to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations. This role requires a hands-on professional with technical skills, attention to detail and proactive approach to equipment care.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and systems.
* Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose mechanical, electrical or basic plumbing systems.
* Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools or other specialized equipment.
* Ensure equipment and tools are maintained in safe operating condition.
* Monitor and record maintenance activities in logs or computerized systems.
* Collaborate with production or facility teams to minimize downtime.
* Comply with safety regulations, company policies.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas including workshop and storage.
* Report any major issues or risks to the Maintenance Supervisor promptly.
* Participate in ongoing training or certification programs as required.
Requirements
* Experience in Maintenance Departments
* Basic knowledge on Mechanical, Electrical Systems
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
* Willingness to work flexible hours, shifts or on call if needed
Physical Requirements
* Ability to climb ladders and operate in confined spaces etc
* Prolonged standing, bending, or walking during shifts
* Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Preferred Skills
* Equipment operation certification
* Safe Pass
* PAT Testing
