Risk Manager (IT Controls Testing) – Role and Responsibilities
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Control Testing Specialist to help shape and implement a robust 1st Line of Defence (1LOD) IT control testing capability.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and operation of a new IT Control Framework.
What's involved
Support the design and implementation of the 1LOD IT control testing model, methodologies, and procedures
Develop and maintain the integrated IT Control Framework
Lead complex IT control design and effectiveness testing
Produce insightful MI to inform senior decision-making and risk management
Partner with stakeholders across Europe to agree remediation plans for control gaps
Drive innovation and automation in control processes
Influence senior leaders to embed strong risk culture and governance practices
What you need
5+ years in technology risk, audit, or IT control testing roles
Hands-on experience designing and assessing IT controls
Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, COBIT; certifications like CRISC, CISM, or CISSP preferred
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills
Experience with controls automation and tooling is highly desirable
Candidate must be based in Ireland and have a stamp 4/ EU Passport
