About the Role
This is a senior role accountable for maintaining and developing the site infrastructure, environmental sustainability while driving reductions in greenhouse emissions, energy use etc. while maintaining a safe a productive environment for employees.
Responsibilities:
* Facilities Maintenance Management
* This role ensures that facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained, while managing a team of maintenance staff and coordinating with other functions to support operational needs.
* Develop and implement strategic goals and objectives for the department.
* Team Supervision
* Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all facilities.
* Ensure timely and effective completion of maintenance and repair tasks.
* Conduct regular inspections to identify and address needs.
* Drive engagement of the facilities and utilities team.
* Provide on-going training and development.
* Vendor Management
* Source and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.
* Order and maintain inventory of necessary supplies and equipment.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and safety.
* Facilities Improvement Projects
* Manage sustainability (energy, water, and carbon neutral) initiatives to reduce costs and environmental impact.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including within site and external to site.
* Stay updated with the latest engineering technologies and safety practices.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Engineering) is required.
* Exceptional ability to effect change using positive and collaborative methods.
* Highly collaborative work style which includes working successfully across all organisational levels.
* Familiarity with continuous improvement and project management approaches and tools.
* Experience in operations / manufacturing environment.
* Experience in the management of outsourced services with demonstrated ability to run and manage service providers.
* Experience dealing with a large portfolio of plant and equipment.
