Candidates must have full right to workOur client, a leading company in the data centre sector, is currently seeking experienced and talented Senior Quantity Surveyors to join their high-performing project teams in Dublin.
This permanent role involves managing multiple projects to maximise commercial returns whilst maintaining positive relationships.Key Responsibilities:Track project deliverables and ensure that commercial and administrative systems, budgets, and cost control procedures are utilised
Manage commercial teams to drive successful delivery of all projects and lead the commercial planning and implementation of projects
Conduct in-depth reviews of all tender documentation, identifying any risks or potential gains
Review and approve selected contractors and suppliers
Ensure contractual correspondence in accordance with contract terms, including detailed analysis and documentation of EOT notifications and claims
Monitor projects continuously to ensure they stay on time and budget
Assist with and manage the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables
Report on actual costs versus estimates, identify underlying reasons for any variance, and propose resolutions
Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions
Ensure clients achieve their objectives through close teamwork, proactive cost control, and the provision of contractual advice
Ensure subcontracts are properly prepared and managed to reflect agreed scope, including compliance with all responses to communications, payments, compensation events, and programme submissions
Ensure all project team members, including site staff, understand contractual arrangements to meet client and partner requirementsJob Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying & Construction Economics or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland (SCSI) and/or the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
Experience with JCT Traditional Forms of Contract
Proficiency in estimating and preparing Bills of Quantities
6+ years of quantity surveying experience
Strong client relationship management skills and the ability to leverage opportunities for repeat business
In-depth knowledge and understanding of various forms of contract used in the construction industry, including RIAI, xsokbrc FIDIC, JCT, etc.
Commercial acumen with advanced knowledge of the market and competition
Ability to negotiate, manage conflict, and critically evaluate documents
Strong attention to detail
Ability to build and maintain client and PQS relationshipsBenefits:
