Duties & Responsibilities
* Assisting clients with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting).
* Supporting clients with mobility and transfers.
* Preparing meals and supporting with feeding if required.
* Providing companionship and emotional support.
* Supporting medication prompts/reminders.
* Carrying out light household duties (tidying, laundry, etc.).
* Promoting client independence and dignity at all times.
* Reporting concerns or changes in health to the office promptly.
* Accurately recording visit notes and care updates.
Requirements & Qualifications
Desirable:
* 2 modules of QQI Level 5 in Healthcare (Care Skills/Healthcare Support and Care of the Older Person).
* Previous experience as a Healthcare assistant (personal or professional experience).
OR
* No experience, caring personality, good character, and willingness to complete a minimum of 2 modules of QQI Level 5 in Healthcare.
* Own vehicle and full driving licence preferable.
Essential Requirements
* Very good spoken and written English.
* Availability to work at least every second weekend.
