ISO / Tendering Lead Location: Galway (with free parking) Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role We are seeking an experienced ISO / Tendering Lead to join our award-winning practice.
This role is central to maintaining and improving company governance, quality systems, and tendering processes, while ensuring continued compliance with ISO standards and best practice.
The successful candidate will take ownership of ISO certification and office-wide quality systems, while also leading the preparation of high-quality tender submissions for public and private sector projects.
This is a senior support role with visibility across the entire organisation and close collaboration with senior management, design teams, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities ISO & Quality Management Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of ISO management systems (e.g. ISO ****, ISO *****, ISO ***** or similar, as applicable).
Manage internal audits, external audits, and certification processes, ensuring ongoing compliance.
Oversee office governance in relation to ISO standards, company policies, procedures, and best practices.
Develop, review, and update quality manuals, procedures, templates, and workflows.
Promote a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Tendering & Bids Lead and coordinate the preparation of tender submissions, with particular responsibility for quality, methodology, and compliance sections.
Work closely with directors, project leads, and design teams to gather technical and commercial inputs.
Manage tender programmes, deadlines, and submission requirements to ensure timely and compliant delivery.
Coordinate external inputs from consultants and partners as required.
Ensure all tender submissions align with company branding, quality standards, and client requirements.
Manage and submit tenders through eTenders and other procurement portals.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Coordinate and collaborate with large internal design teams across multiple disciplines.
Liaise with external stakeholders including clients, consultants, certifying bodies, and auditors.
Provide guidance and support to teams on quality, compliance, and tender-related processes.
Skills & Experience Required Relevant third-level qualification (or equivalent professional experience).
Minimum 5+ years' experience in a similar ISO, quality, or tendering role.
Ideally experienced within a construction-related environment (consultancy, architectural practice, engineering practice, or contractor).
Proven experience in obtaining, implementing, and maintaining ISO standards within an office or organisation.
Strong experience in preparing and coordinating tender submissions, including quality and compliance aspects.
Practical knowledge and experience using eTenders and similar procurement platforms.
Excellent analytical, organisational, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
