Role Overview
A leading residential developer is seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team.
This role will involve taking ownership of key elements of cost management across multi-phase housing developments, working within a structured environment focused on quality, programme delivery, and cost control.
You will work closely with Senior QSs, Site Teams, and the wider development function to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing cost planning, budgeting, and financial control across housing developments.
Support procurement and management of subcontract packages.
Prepare and review interim valuations, variations, and cost reports.
Monitor project costs, cashflow, and financial forecasts.
Liaise with site teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure alignment.
Support value engineering and cost efficiency initiatives.
Assist with final account preparation and agreement.
Candidate Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
3–6 years’ experience in a QS role (developer or main contractor background).
Experience working on residential housing projects preferred.
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Ability to manage workload and take ownership of tasks.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
