LeitrimOn-SiteVistaMed Ltd.You will support our team asMoulding EngineerResponsibilitiesJoin a leading medical device manufacturer where you'll shape and optimise moulding processes for high-precision, life-changing products.Own the development, set-up and optimisation of moulding processes to ensure consistency, efficiency and world-class quality.Troubleshoot moulding and tooling issues using structured, data-driven analysis and implement long-term solutions.Collaborate closely with Toolmakers, R&D/NPI, Process Engineers and Maintenance to review, spec and improve tooling and materials.Support new product introductions, including developing and validating moulding processes using scientific injection moulding principles.Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce cycle times, minimise waste and enhance equipment performance.Provide hands-on technical support to Operations, ensuring machines, tooling and ancillary equipment run safely and reliably.Contribute to high standards of safety, housekeeping and compliance with quality system requirements.Mentor and support Technicians and Operators, sharing best practices and helping to build capability across the team.QualificationsDegree in Polymer, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering (or equivalent), or significant hands-on moulding experience.Strong knowledge of injection moulding, mould tooling, materials and associated equipment.Experience with cleanroom manufacturing, validations and process controls (medical device experience desirable).Ability to analyse moulding parameters, optimise processes and stabilise drift using a scientific approach.Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Toolmakers, Maintenance, Production, Quality and R&D/NPI.Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, methodical mindset and attention to detail.Experience mentoring or supporting Technicians/Operators, promoting knowledge sharing and good practice.Willingness to travel to suppliers, toolmakers and customers when required, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.The Freudenberg Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion.
