Engineering Analyst, Trust and Safety, Ads Account Takeover
Fast-paced, dynamic team dedicated to protecting YouTube users and advertisers from account hijacking threats, leveraging cross-functional collaboration and deep technical expertise to improve safety and user experience at a global scale.
Responsibilities
Provide detailed qualitative and quantitative understanding of the Ads account takeover threat landscape, designing and improving data collection, processes, and quality measures.
Design and build early-warning alerts for novel and changing threats, researching attacker operations and understanding their interactions with our systems.
Apply security intelligence to respond to new adversarial campaigns, working with product and engineering teams to implement this intelligence into prevention and detection systems.
Train and collaborate with Ads Safety to improve tooling when needed.
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in data analysis, identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
5 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Preferred qualifications
Bachelor's degree or a relevant technical background (computer science, engineering, math, physics, cybersecurity).
Expertise in SQL, R, Python, or C++.
Experience deriving actionable insights from data sources, rolling out security policies, or using large-scale data analysis to resolve problems.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
