OverviewA leading Credit Union is seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Operations. This is a pivotal role within the organisation, crucial to ensuring operational excellence and leading IT across branches and member services.RoleReporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Operations will play a key role in implementing company-wide initiatives connected to the Strategic Vision and have primary responsibility for ensuring strong member services and operational resilience across operations and IT. This position demands a blend of operational oversight, team leadership, change management and a deep commitment to delivering outstanding member service.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership: Ensure the efficient delivery of services across all channels, branches, online, and phone, while driving continuous operational improvements.Strategic Support: Collaborate with the CEO and senior management team to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with the credit union's goals.Risk & Compliance Management: Work closely with Risk & Compliance teams to identify and manage operational risks, ensuring full adherence to legal and regulatory standards.Team Development: Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of high performance and professional growth.IT Oversight: Guide the IT function to meet operational needs and manage third-party providersPerformance Management: Develop and implement processes for continuous performance improvement and member service enhancement.Environmental & Social Governance (ESG): Lead initiatives to reduce the credit union's carbon footprint and promote sustainable practices.Health & Safety: Ensure a safe and compliant working environment across all locations.A third-level qualification in Business, Finance, or a related discipline, or a relevant professional qualification.Experience in an operational management role within the financial services sector.Strong IT and analytical skills, with a track record in problem-solving and process improvement.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with proven success in people management.An understanding of regulatory requirements and experience in managing relationships with regulatory authorities.Salary: €75,000 to €90,000 plus benefits packageHow to ApplyIf you are a dynamic leader with a passion for operational excellence and a commitment to the values of the credit union movement, we want to hear from you.
