Job descriptionThe Savoy Hotel is currently looking for a Night porter to join our Team .GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Night Porter is responsible for providing a friendly, welcoming and efficient service to all hotel guests, in line with the hotel's vision and values on customer satisfaction. The main purposes of the Night Porter are to respond courteously to guests' requests, assist the Night Manager throughout the night shift in relation to hotel and guest security, reception duties as well as maintain the agreed standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel.MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Check in and out hotel guests as required as well as assisting with guest requests in relation to luggage/porterage.· Responsibility for the front entrance and outside of the hotel and ensure that it is clean and tidy at all times. This includes emptying bins, picking up rubbish etc.· Responsible for cleaning other areas as directed by Manager on duty and also as per nightly checklist which may include set up of tables, breakfast area etc..Responsible for the cleaning of areas in the hotel including, but not restricted to lobby, back office, stairways, restaurant and bar floor, public and staff areas and the meeting room floor.·To build a good rapport with all guests and resolve any complaints/issues quickly to maintain high quality customer service.·To deal with guest requests to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay.·To assist in dealing with customer complaints in an effective and courteous manner, providing or seeking solutions as quickly as possible.·To be responsible for accurate and efficient accounts and guest billing processes.·To report any maintenance, breakage or cleanliness problems to the relevant manager.·To undertake all training as required (eg, first aid, health and safety, customer service).To adhere to all fire safety test procedures and to assist in the evacuation process in the event of fire.·To undertake any other ad-hoc duties (bar and restaurant work) relevant to the post as and when required.·Apply all Covid-19 protocols for the safety of Team members and Guests at all timesSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREDA friendly and welcoming approachHigh standards of dress and presentationAbility to remain calm during difficult situations or in a very busy environmentThe ability to work unsupervisedExcellent interpersonal skills, including a pleasant telephone mannerGood team working skills.e.Job Type: Full-timePay: €15.00-€16.00 per hourAbility to commute/relocate:Limerick, CO.
