The role
About the Role
Full‑time position, five days over a seven‑day week. Typical hours are 3 pm until closing; flexibility is required.
Responsibilities
Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner at all times and make appropriate recommendations where required.
Excellent knowledge of traditional and classic drinks, including cocktails, is essential.
Have excellent knowledge of wines and other beverages you will serve, including different spirits, beers & soft drinks, and be able to open, pour and serve them according to Ballyfin 5‑star standards.
Prepare and set up the pre‑dinner drinks section in a timely manner, ensuring excellent presentation.
Manage stock levels and replenish where required.
Ensure the bar area and bar equipment are kept clean and presentable at all times.
Take orders correctly, ensuring no errors, and answer any guest questions about the menu or drinks.
Stay up to date on dietary requirements.
Demonstrate a commitment to customer & service excellence at all times.
Anticipate guests’ needs to enhance quality service and guest satisfaction.
Provide professional, prompt service of food & wine to the highest standards.
Train junior staff members and work with them to improve their beverage knowledge.
