Director of Nursing Role !!We are currently looking for a Director of NursingThe Nursing Home is a purpose-built home set beautifully in quiet, discreet grounds in Naas, Kildare.The main duties & responsibilities are as follows:Making sure our Residents receive an excellent standard of care.Ensuring compliance in line with Regulations and striving to exceed the Standards.Assessing the social and health care needs of new clients.Conducting ongoing assessments and reviews of all clients.Maintaining occupancy levels at an efficient level by liaising with various referrers in conjunction with the Operations Manager.Meeting all aspects of clients' care needs, providing health supervision, and coordinating with GPs, Public Health Nurses, and other medical and para-medical services as appropriate.Maintaining and improving the quality of each client’s life by paying meticulous attention to privacy, dignity, autonomy, choice, rights, and fulfillment.Developing social and leisure activities to enhance the quality of clients' lives.Maintaining and updating your own professional knowledge and competence.Teaching and exemplifying high standards by training junior staff members.Ensuring all new staff understand the aims and objectives of the Home and receive suitable induction training.Supporting high standards through staff training and development, including recognized courses.Managing staff rotas and recruiting as necessary with the approval of the CEO.Handling disciplinary procedures with proper documentation for minor offences.Participating in staff meetings, training, and development activities.Reviewing routines within the Home and making improvements as needed.Ensuring cleanliness, maintenance, and proper heating of rooms and common areas, and proper maintenance of equipment.Meeting dietary and nutritional needs appropriately.Maintaining all nursing, care, and drug records as required by An Bord Altranais.Controlling the ordering, storage, and administration of drugs, and maintaining necessary records.There is an excellent remuneration package reflecting the importance of the role.For more information, contact me at sonia.tzaferi@cplhealthcare.com
