Equality and Diversity Officer Role
The IT department is seeking an experienced professional to lead on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee the implementation of EDI principles across all activities, coordinate future Athena Swan applications and work closely with management and the EDI committee to achieve strategic change.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement EDI policies and procedures
* Provide advice and guidance on equality and diversity matters
* Ensure a positive EDI culture within the IT department
* Coordinate training and development programmes to enhance EDI awareness and skills
* Represent the IT department at relevant national events
Ongoing Commitments:
* Monitor and report on EDI progress and outcomes
* Support Athena SWAN self-assessment teams and annual reports
