Overview

Daly Lynch Crowe and Morris (DLCM) Solicitors, with offices in Dublin 2, is seeking to recruit a Caseworker to support a solicitor who works in the international protection/immigration law and judicial review division of the firm’s practice. DLCM Solicitors has considerable experience in refugee and immigration law and is committed to the advancement of human rights in Ireland through rights-based litigation.

The firm attracts a large volume of clients and the Caseworker will work in a fast-paced environment, providing reliable, responsible and efficient support for the Solicitor in the delivery of services to clients. The Caseworker will provide a wide range of clerical and administrative tasks supporting the Solicitor to include liaising with clients and Counsel by phone and email, scanning and saving documentation, post and attending court and preparing documentation for court.

Qualifications and experience

* Office experience is highly desirable and familiarity with filing systems/ADOBE/Outlook etc
* A law degree and/or a qualification in human rights law would be an advantage but is not essential if interest can be demonstrated
* Knowledge/experience of refugee/immigration law would also be an advantage but is not essential if interest can be demonstrated
* Ideally 5 days a week but part time will be considered for the right candidate
* Ideally available to start as soon as possible

* Excellent organisational skills, reliability and responsible attitude to documentation and filing and close attention to detail with an ability to prioritise workload appropriately and work autonomously
* An ability to follow instructions from solicitor closely, and take direction and enthusiasm to learn
* Hardworking and dedicated individual with an interest in human rights law
* Capacity to deliver work of a consistently high standard, and with close attention to detail, responsible approach to filing and handling of documentary evidence
* Ability to work efficiently and at speed and in time, to take initiative where appropriate
* Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with and alongside others
