As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing improvements to equipment and procedures used in the manufacturing process. This role involves leading small automation projects to enhance processes within the unit.
To succeed in this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline. A minimum of 1-3 years' experience working on support automation control systems and client/server architectures is also required.
You should be familiar with Siemens and Rockwell (Allen Bradley) PLC control systems, as well as SCADA systems such as Rockwell FactoryTalk, Siemens WinCC, iFix and Wonderware. Strong networking concepts are essential for this role.
In this position, you will work closely with the IT and Maintenance groups when troubleshooting issues on equipment and systems. You will also contribute to team environments on specific technical problem-solving forums associated with product manufacture, aseptic fill and packaging.
