The successful candidate will ensure customers receive high-quality service, maintain the flow of critical aviation parts, and unlock new revenue streams through smart sourcing and stock strategies. It’s a role for a commercially minded leader who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys building strong supplier and stakeholder relationships.
You’ll also have the chance to represent the business internationally at aviation trade shows — building networks and spotting new opportunities.
What You’ll Do
* Lead, coach, and develop the USM materials team, fostering a high-performance culture.

* Monitor team and program performance, providing reporting and insights to the Commercial Manager.
* Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for new products and smarter trading strategies.
* Collaborate closely with stakeholders across quality, finance, operations, and global sales teams.
* Stay ahead of industry trends, rolling out strategies to optimise growth and profitability.
* Represent the company at key industry trade shows (Europe), strengthening supplier and customer networks.
What You’ll Bring
* Third-level qualification in Business, Management, or a related field.
* 5+ years’ experience in a material trading role (aviation/MRO experience preferred).
* Background in purchasing, stock management, and part sales.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a small team.
* Commercially minded with an entrepreneurial outlook and eye for new revenue streams.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive improvements.
* Flexibility to travel internationally for trade shows and supplier meetings.
