Enable Ireland provides services to over 13,000 children and adults with disabilities and their families from 43 locations across 14 counties.
The organisation works across childhood to adulthood, developing individual plans for each life stage.
Services include physical, educational and social development from early infancy through adolescence for children and personal development for adults.
Contract
Contract Type: Permanent Full Time
Contract Hours: 35 hours per week (1.0 WTE)
Salary Scale: €42,384 – €61,945 pro rata per annum (subject to **** WRC agreement increases)
Annual Leave Entitlement: 32 days pro rata per annum
Location: CHO 1 Cavan, CDNT, Hillside, Rathcorrick, Cavan
Responsibilities
Provide Speech and Language Therapy services for young people aged 0–18 years and their families within an interdisciplinary framework.
Service delivery includes assessment, intervention, clinical supervision and ongoing service development, using a family-centred approach across clinics, preschools, schools, children's homes and community settings.
Qualifications and Experience
Registered or eligible for registration as a Speech & Language Therapist with the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
Proof of statutory registration required before contract issuance.
Maintain annual registration with CORU and confirm renewal to Enable Ireland.
Valid driving licence and own transport for delivering services across a large geographical area.
Experience working with children with disabilities and complex needs.
Postgraduate experience and/or training in children with Feeding, Eating, Drinking & Swallowing (FEDS) needs.
Experience conducting Assessment of Need assessments.
Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum.
Experience with children having disabilities.
