The role
Stelfox is partnering with a leading Dublin-based client to hire a Senior Cloud IAM & Security Engineer on a long-term contract basis. This is a hands‑on, senior‑level opportunity for someone with deep expertise in cloud identity, authentication, and security engineering.Contract: 6‑month rolling (long‑term)This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, large‑scale systems within a high‑performing engineering environment. While not people‑managed, you will play a key role in technical leadership, mentoring, and driving critical security initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and deploy secure IAM and cloud‑based solutionsWork with large datasets to support business and technical goalsDevelop and optimize deployment pipelines and engineering processesDefine requirements and contribute to solution architectureDocument processes for deployment, support, and maintenanceCollaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver system requirementsIntegrate and manage systems across complex environmentsExecute testing (integration, regression, performance) and resolve issuesIdentify gaps in standards and drive continuous improvementSkills & Experience7+ years’ experience in Information SecurityStrong experience in Cloud IAM solutions – AWS, AzureExperience with identity federation and synchronization (PingIDM, SCIM)Strong knowledge of SSO protocols (OAuth, OIDC, SAML, LDAP, FIDO)Experience with IAM tools such as PingFederate and PingAccessKnowledge of Active Directory, MFA, PAM, and risk‑based authenticationExperience with APIs, RESTful services, and modern architecturesStrong Linux/Windows skills and scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell)Proven experience delivering large‑scale cloud/security projectsStrong communication and stakeholder management skills
