Job Description Summary
The Property/Assistant Manager supports the day-to-day management and operations of the property, working closely with the Community Manager (or Property Operations Manager) to deliver an outstanding resident experience, achieve occupancy goals, and meet financial targets.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in leasing and reservations activities – show units, qualify prospects, prepare tenancy documentation, and manage move-in/move-out processes.
Use property software to track leasing data, generate reports, monitor availability, and log maintenance requests.
Interact with residents to proactively improve service delivery and handle enquiries, requests, complaints, and feedback.
Support rent collection, monitor payments, and follow up on arrears in line with company procedures.
Work with the maintenance team to ensure the property's physical condition and standards are maintained.
Assist with marketing and promotional activities to support leasing and occupancy objectives.
Carry out inspections, compliance tasks, and health & safety activities as required.
Engage in administrative duties including reporting, invoicing, procurement communication, and record keeping.
Support team development by helping train and coach colleagues.
May act in place of the Community Manager in their absence.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and willing to learn property management software (e.g., Yardi, RentCafe).
Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and work independently.
Good organisational and numerical skills.
Flexible approach to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience in property management or similar real-estate operations is advantageous.

Responding to resident inquiries and requests.
Managing lease documentation and tenancy administration.
Tracking and reporting on occupancy, leasing, and revenue performance.
