Key Responsibilities
The primary focus will be on providing person-centred support, promoting independence, and enhancing the overall wellbeing of the residents. This will involve:
* Advocacy: Respecting each individual's rights, dignity, and autonomy, while facilitating their choice and decision-making skills.
* Personalised Support: Delivering tailored support to cater to the unique needs of each resident, including occupational and leisure activities, communication, behaviour management plans, independent living skills, social integration, and personal development.
Leadership and Accountability
The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements by conducting regular audits and inspections of the designated centre. They will maintain accurate records, report any matters of concern to the Person in Charge, and ensure that all necessary documentation is up-to-date.
Essential qualifications include a Level 7 QQI award in Social Care Studies or equivalent, along with relevant experience working with vulnerable adults. The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in IT systems, and a valid driver's licence with access to a vehicle.
