IT Security Specialist:

What You'll Do

We are looking for an experienced IT Security Specialist to join their IT Security Department of a Banking Client and support various initiatives, including key projects under the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). This role will involve assisting with both DORA-specific activities and a range of departmental security operations, from incident response to access control management.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote, develop and mantain a proportionate Data Protection framework, including policies and processes, in compliance with relaevant legislation.

Identifiy and evaluate the bank's data processing activities and provide advice and instructions on how to conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA)

Advice on compliance with GDPR and local data protection laws, monitor adherece with to GDPR standards.

Validate in all bank's projectsthe provacy by design keeping update sensitive and privacy data mapping and relevant protection measures.

Manage data protection incidents, subject requests in timely mannser, ensuring appropriate reporting and escalations to Bank's management and relevant committes.

Promote Data Protection awareness to the Bank staff ensuring adeguate periodical GDPR Training

Respond to and act as point of contact for the supervisory authority and maintaining relationship with European regulators in Luxembourg.

Liaise with organizations that process data on behalf of the bank.

Involved in the security watch on threats and vulnerabilities and on related evolution

Execute daily controls of log and security events.

DORA Project Support: Contribute to the execution of IT security initiatives aligned with DORA compliance, ensuring operational resilience and regulatory adherence.

Access Control Management: Monitor and maintain access controls to ensure secure system access for authorized personnel.

Technical Communication: Coordinate with the IT Department and/or managed security service provider (MSSP) on topics including:

* Network topology and secure configuration
* Vulnerability identification and mitigation
* Security control implementation
* Threat intelligence and proactive defense measures

Awareness and Training Programs:

* Organize security awareness training for employees to promote best practices and strengthen the security culture.

Lead phishing awareness campaigns and educate employees on information security threats.

Industry Standards and Threat Monitoring: Stay updated on developments in cybersecurity standards and emerging threats, sharing insights with the team and stakeholders.

Incident Management: Assist in investigating and documenting security incidents, acting as part of the second line of defense to support response efforts.

Collaboration and Security Improvement: Work closely with management, the IT team, and MSSPs to enhance the organization's overall security framework.

Technical Skills

Master's degree (or equivalent experience)

Mindset: Open-minded and adaptable, with a passion for cybersecurity and learning.

Strong verbal and written skills; able to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.

Familiarity with cybersecurity basics and an interest in the human and technical aspects of security.

Analytical approach to challenges, with a focus on identifying and mitigating security risks.

Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, MITRE ATTACK framework) is an asset.

Languagues: Italian as must, Eng/French as plus

Where: Luxembourg, on-site presence required
