Cross Agricultural Engineering Ltd. are currently seeking a Spare Parts & Purchasing Specialist

About the Company: Cross is a leading engineering company who specialise in the design and manufacturing of farm, biogas, commercial and food processing machinery. We offer a top of the range service as standard to all our customers, this is a result of dedicated planning and design work which will continue with the successful candidate. Currently there are 50 staff working in a state of the art factory. Cross have an in house spare parts department, which supplies parts to our customers all over the world and to the factory for manufacturing. Cross also run an online store for farmers to purchase items for next day delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Parts Purchasing: Price, order, and track spare parts from suppliers,

Customer Support: Assist customers in person at the trade counter and over the phone with spare parts inquiries, orders, and technical advice.

Inventory Management: Assist with incoming stock deliveries, ensure accurate stock levels are maintained, and help organise the stores with the support of a junior team member.

Order Fulfilment: Prepare and package parts orders for dispatch via courier to customers worldwide.

General Duties: Process sales through the point-of-sale (POS) system; load and unload deliveries when required.

What We’re Looking For:

A strong interest in farm machinery and/or mechanical equipment — prior knowledge is a plus, but a willingness to learn is essential.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Good computer literacy — experience with inventory or POS systems is a bonus.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.

Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
