If you're ready to take the next step in your career, apply now and become part of the teamThe OpportunityAs part of the Corporate Risks Team, you will join a group of experienced liability technical experts who underwrite liability, construction, combined and multinational business across all commercial sectors.Working proactively & supporting the Team Underwriters & working with, Broker partners and Allianz Business Development Executives, Portfolio Team & Allianz Global offices you will be required to underwrite and service a portfolio of renewals and potential new business opportunities that are aligned to our risk appetite. One of your main priorities will be servicing our multinational business, ensuring that we meet our SLAs & assist in growing multinational business.*Key Responsibilities*Profitably underwrite liability, construction, combined and multinational renewals and new business to achieve GWP targets for all sectors.Manage and develop multinational liability renewals and new business with our Global Allianz branches and develop relationships in the multinational underwriting area. Meeting the SLA standards will be keyOversee the end to end customer outcome of allocated renewals and new business submissions aligned to target KPI'sFoster and leverage relationships with key brokersDevelop and maintain strong working relationships within the team, other areas of the business and external stakeholdersBalance speed of turnaround with technical requirements of the role to deliver on Business Development team targets including renewal retention and conversionEngage with internal stakeholders in Sales and Distribution, Pricing and Portfolio management to negotiate terms on renewals and conduct detailed risk assessment and acceptance within existing Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) framework agreementsShare knowledge and technical expertise with colleagues, contribute to personal and team technical developmentIdentify and implement improvements in process, proposition or service to best serve our customer baseEssentialKey Requirements / Skills & ExperienceA minimum 2 years' experience in 'underwriting' commercial insuranceA recognised insurance qualification (APA, CIP, ACII or FCII)A proven track record in writing commercial liability businessExperience in growth, achieving targets, technical underwritingDesirableKnowledge of combined and Property commercial productsExperience in a commercial underwriting role in commercial or general insuranceFamiliarity with I/90Proven track record in terms of meeting challenging underwriting targetsProficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and SalesforceEvidence of having providing exceptional customer service in previous rolesAllianz People AttributesThe Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate The Allianz People AttributesCustomer and Market ExcellencePossesses and applies good all round technical Operations and industry knowledge, and keeps up to date on new technologies and regulatory changesStrives for excellence at every touchpoint with the customer; both intermediaries and policyholdersReviews and tests work, understands importance of the highest quality and accuracy standardsCollaborative LeadershipCommunicates effectively, creates professional and productive relationship with colleagues in Operations and across the business as appropriateResearches information and applies analytical techniques to improve outcomes, explore opportunities and resolve problemsSupports colleagues in the development of technical skillsetsEntrepreneurshipProactively manages time and resources, works on the right things at the right time - understands the importance of the right prioritisation and on delivering against deadlinesMaintains and improves existing procedures and develops same, and is prepared to experiment and take calculated risks trying new concepts or ideasConfronts and overcomes barriers to changeTrustFocuses on follow through of agreed plans to full completionConsistently models and inspires high standards of personal Integrity, sets high standards for themselves and for othersDelivers against commitments made to policyholders, intermediaries, and colleagues across the businessAllianz plc. is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.Regulatory NoticeAppointment to this role will be subject to the requirements provided for by the Central Bank of Ireland. Please refer to the Central Bank of Ireland's Guidance on Minimum Competency Code: Minimum Competency | Central Bank of Ireland as well as F&P Standards and the Corporate Governance Requirements. See Fitness & Probity | Central Bank of Ireland. This includes the requirements provided for by the Central Bank (Individual Accountability Framework) Act 2023.
