Freelancer Django Software Developer Assessor
This position with Code Institute is clarified as a contract freelance role, rather than a full-time position. It's fully remote and not restricted to any location.
Job Description:
We are looking for experienced Django software developers to assist our assessment team on a contract basis. As an assessor, you will be responsible for evaluating student projects based on predefined criteria. This role requires a commitment of approximately 10-15 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling to accommodate weekly deadlines. Assessors are compensated monthly based on the number of projects assessed, according to invoices submitted.
Key Responsibilities:
* Evaluate student projects developed using the Django framework.
* Assess projects based on predetermined criteria, including functionality, code quality, and adherence to best practices.
* Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their coding skills and project execution.
* Maintain accurate records of evaluations and feedback provided.
Requirements:
* A university degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
* Proficiency in Django framework with a strong understanding of web development principles.
* Demonstrated experience in developing Django applications, with a portfolio of previous projects preferred.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to provide clear and constructive feedback to students in English.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet weekly deadlines.
* Being receptive to feedback is paramount.
* Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, or assessing software development projects is a plus.
