Base pay range

Location: Dublin

Here at Hays Life Science Recruitment we are working with a well-known healthcare company and national supplier of medical equipment to hospitals, nursing homes and private homes throughout Ireland that are seeking an experienced Field Sales Manager on a permanent basis. The role requires an individual who is dynamic, with strong sales skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the company


Your new role

* You will support the sale and rental of specialist medical equipment across the acute and community service.
* You will be required to support the growth of this business to ensure the long-term sustainability and performance of the business.
* Generate and manage sales within the divisions, ensuring agreed quarterly and annual sales targets are delivered through a combination of appropriate activities with existing and potential customers to meet or exceed sales targets on an ongoing basis.
* Develop and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), including a range of senior health professionals and key suppliers.
* Take leadership from the Sales & Marketing Director for the sales strategy and drive its implementation.
* Ability to explore new clients, market potential and business opportunities.
* Ensure that all activities are undertaken in line with the overall requirements of the company sales plan and sales objectives.
* Keep up to date on market and product developments allied to the industry and keep representatives and management fully informed.
* To follow company procedures and attend all courses, seminars and training sessions as deemed necessary.
* Actively gather market intelligence and information related to competitor activities to support decision-making on performance and allocating resources.
* Seek and evaluate new product ideas, providing adequate information and facilitate ongoing communication.
* Assist in product evaluations and / or clinical studies as appropriate.
* Work closely and effectively with the sales team and with support functions to provide the best possible service to the customer and the patient.
* Participate in trade shows, training, and marketing activities as required
* Assist with the contracts / tender process for all Key Accounts when necessary.
* Prioritise objectives and schedule work to make the best use of time and resources.
* Maintain accurate records and submit timely reports for the Divisions
* Lead, coach and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Provide strategic direction and day-to-day support to a team expanding in size and scope, ensuring alignment with company goals.
* Ensure that you comply with risk-assessed policies and procedures relating to IT Security, Health and Safety



What you'll need to succeed

* Experience in executing territory sales plans.
* Strong commercial skills coupled with a highly developed analytical ability.
* Must be a skilled negotiator and influencer with excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to produce results, prioritise objectives, and schedule work to make the best use of time and resources
* Flexible and enthusiastic mindset
* Strong work ethic and competitive drive to achieve work goals and quantifiable business results.
* Proven sales calibre and sales growth driven
* Professional skills include sales and territory analysis, budget management and problem-solving using data.
* Ability to meet frequently with team members, customers, and other decision makers.
* Ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned territory of ROI.
* Product or procedural knowledge of medical devices is required.
* Ability to travel abroad for training, supplier meetings and conferences.
* Highly developed interpersonal, networking and influencing skills.
* Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others.
* Proven experience in managing pressure, deadlines, and setbacks efficiently while maintaining commitment despite opposition.
* Excellent written, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Ability to effectively use CRM systems in everyday tasks.*
* Excellent organisational skills
* Strong personal drive
* Full Clean Driving licence
