Role Description
The Head of Workplace Solutions - Trust Administration is responsible for managing the JP Morgan Chase Workplace Solutions trust companies – Global Shares Trustee Ireland Limited (GSTIL) and GS Trustee (UK) Limited (GSTUKL). They will work closely with Sales, Customer Relationship Management, Implementations, AML/KYC, Equity Plan Management, Tax Operations, and Reconciliations to coordinate and manage the creation and operation of the individual trusts under these entities.
This role involves overseeing trustee actions on behalf of GSTIL and GSTUKL, ensuring comprehensive oversight of all trust-related activities.
The Head of Trust Administration ensures that GSTIL and GSTUKL fulfill their duties as trustees and meet fiduciary and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, team management, communication skills, understanding of corporate structures, fiduciary responsibility, regulatory compliance expertise, conflict of interest identification, and a thorough understanding of trust and equity plan management.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Management: Manage daily operations of GSTIL and GSTUKL; act as signatory; ensure duties as trustees are fulfilled; ensure compliance with laws and regulations; maintain fiduciary responsibility; develop policies; record-keeping; audits; liaise with auditors and regulators; collaborate with legal and compliance teams.
2. Board Administration: Implement governance structures; maintain minute books; document trustee decisions; ensure decisions align with trust deeds; record conflicts of interest; review fees; document audits and reports; communicate key information to stakeholders.
3. Accounts and Assets: Oversee account opening and management; asset transfers and sales; ensure legal and regulatory compliance; manage trust assets and decisions related to them.
4. Leadership: Lead and develop trust professionals; represent trust services function.
5. Registration: Ensure Irish trust entity registration; investigate UK requirements.
6. Tax and Compliance: Review trusts for CRBOT registration; conduct tax due diligence; ensure tax compliance for benefits.
7. Plan Management: Coordinate with EPM team; ensure accurate data and reporting; oversee asset reporting and transactions; monitor share trading activities.
8. Termination: Oversee activities related to trust termination.
Educational/Administrative:
* Devote time to personal development and training in fiduciary practices.
* Participate in seminars and training courses.
* Assist in staff training and performance management.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
* Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
* Deep knowledge of fiduciary products, legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.
* Experience in Employee Benefit Trust business, at a fiduciary or law firm.
