A well-established and growing services organisation based in the North East of Ireland is seeking to appoint a highly experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This is a search for a senior finance leader who will act as the CEO’s trusted partner and provide real-time financial insight across the entire business.
The CFO will play a central role in driving financial discipline, strengthening reporting and supporting the strategic growth of the company. The successful candidate will oversee a finance team of approximately 10 professionals and ensure the organisation has clear, accurate and timely financial information to support operational and strategic decision making.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the CEO’s key financial advisor, providing real-time visibility of the financial health and performance of the business.
Lead and manage the finance function, overseeing a team of c.10 people and ensuring strong processes, accountability and development across the team.
Deliver high-quality financial reporting and analysis to support management decision making.
Maintain rigorous oversight of cashflow management, forecasting and liquidity planning.
Implement robust financial controls, reporting frameworks and operational finance processes across the business.
Support the leadership team with strategic initiatives including potential future investments, acquisitions and growth opportunities.
Provide financial insight across all divisions, ensuring leadership has clear visibility of performance drivers and risks.
Work closely with operational leaders to ensure financial information supports commercial decision making and performance improvement.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be an experienced CFO or Finance Director with a proven track record of leading finance functions within a dynamic services-based organisation.
Key attributes will include:
Significant senior finance leadership experience, ideally within a multi-division services environment.
Strong financial reporting, forecasting and cashflow management expertise.
Experience managing and developing finance teams.
Commercial acumen and the ability to provide strategic financial insight to senior leadership.
Experience supporting growth strategies, including exposure to M&A, investment evaluation or corporate development initiatives.
Strong leadership presence with the ability to act as a trusted partner to the CEO and executive team.
While candidates from a range of sectors will be considered, experience within service-led businesses or environments where financial insight drives operational performance will be particularly relevant.
