Overview

Assistant Manager - Supermac’s/Papa John’s/Supersubs (Full-time) – Ennis, County Clare, Ireland. This is a new Service Station at Ennis opening autumn/winter 2025 as part of The Plaza Group. The role reports to the Store Manager and involves supporting store operations to meet targets, with responsibilities across customer service, staff, operations, and cash handling.

Note: Only candidates living in Ireland and allowed to work here will be considered.


Responsibilities

* Supervise the activities of team members daily and ensure tasks are completed to an appropriate level.
* Ensure high-quality and consistent customer service at all times.
* Delegate and communicate effectively with the team; supervise induction and training of employees.
* Communicate sales performance to management.
* Assist the store manager in recruiting high-calibre team members and in managing staff performance.
* Provide quality products by ensuring orders reflect Supermac’s and/or Papa John’s standards; respond promptly to customer concerns.
* Ensure the store is merchandised, cleaned, and maintains a customer-friendly layout; coordinate in-store sales and promotions.
* Adhere to cash handling policies and ensure correct cash register procedures are followed.
* Respond to local market trends and competition; address customer complaints effectively and implement store improvements as needed.
* Assist with stock management, including stock takes, minimising loss, waste management, and ensuring in-date stock.
* Support compliance with Labour Law, HACCP, Health & Safety, and Consumer Legislation; assist with Health & Safety checks.
* Work with the Store Manager to maintain secure opening/closing procedures.


Operations & Stock Management

* Provide quality products and ensure accurate customer orders; maintain housekeeping and stock rotation to minimise waste.
* Coordinate in-store promotions and ensure appropriate stock levels for customer needs.
* Keep compliant with company procedures and guidelines; manage stock to reflect demand and minimise waste due to out-of-date stock.

* Maintain strong quality control standards and drive sales/profits by managing a diverse team.
* Support management development and foster positive interpersonal relationships among staff.
* Collaborate with management to drive turnover down at both salaried and crew levels.
