Cloud Platform Security Analyst Location: Dublin Full-Time | €80,000 - €110,000 A growing technology-focused organisation in Dublin is enhancing its cloud security function and is seeking someone to help oversee the protection of its Google Cloud platforms.
The role centres on improving security foundations across their cloud footprint, supporting engineering teams with secure build practices, and ensuring data-centric services remain safeguarded as the environment evolves.
You'll be involved in a wide range of cloud projects, advising on design decisions, identifying potential weak points, and contributing to broader strategies aimed at maturing the organisation's overall cloud security posture.
What You'll Be Doing Assess new and existing GCP workloads to ensure they follow secure architecture principles.
Help design and improve cloud security patterns around identity, networking, encryption, automation, and monitoring.
Work closely with engineering and data teams to review deployment methods and offer clear, actionable guidance.
Review infrastructure-as-code templates and recommend changes aligned to security standards.
Produce documentation, guidance notes, and reusable templates to support cloud governance.
Coordinate with operations and threat teams to ensure activity on the platform is monitored effectively.
Support knowledge-sharing and help raise the overall maturity of the cloud security function.
What You Should Bring Strong practical experience working with Google Cloud and cloud security concepts.
Solid understanding of IAM controls, network segmentation, logging, encryption, and workload protection.
Experience working with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
Exposure to AI/ML or data-focused cloud services is a plus.
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Comfortable communicating clearly with engineers, architects, and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Extras Google Cloud certifications (Security Engineer, Architect, or equivalent).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines or cloud automation.
Previous mentoring or coaching of junior engineers.
