There will a focus on growing grassroots football, improving access to the game for diverse communities and ensuring that football is inclusive and engaging for all ages, genders and abilities in line with population trends. This dynamic role blends innovation, programme design and community insight to help shape the next generation of grassroots football experience, to ensure the game is accessible, inclusive and exciting for all.Key ResponsibilitiesNational Participation Strategy & Programme DevelopmentIdentify barriers to participation and create targeted initiatives to increase football access.Align participation programmes with the Association's strategic direction and Football Pathways Plan.Grassroots & Community Football DevelopmentDevelop initiatives to encourage casual, recreational and structured football participation.Provide guidance to stakeholders on best practices for increasing engagement.Innovation and Programme DevelopmentDesign, pilot and scale innovative formats, technologies and delivery models to modernise grassroots football.Identify emerging trends and community needs to create future proof initiatives.Lead cross functional projects and collaborate with tech, digital and community teams.Stakeholder & Partnership ManagementBuild and maintain relationships with government agencies, councils, sponsors and community organisations to secure funding and support.Represent the Association at national football events, conferences and participation initiatives.Work with marketing and communications teams to promote participation programmes through digital and traditional media.Data Analysis & ReportingMonitor and analyse participation trends using data to inform decision making and improve programmes.Prepare reports on participation rates, programme effectiveness and impact for key stakeholders.Person SpecificationCreative problem solver and confident exploring new models to meet participation goals.Collaborative and relationship driven, comfortable working across departments, regions and external stakeholder groups.Data informed decision maker, open to using insights, feedback and participation data to shape initiatives and improve outcomes.Adaptable and resilient while remaining solution focused.Experience and QualificationsEssential:Proven experience in innovation or growth within sport, community development or a related field.Strong track record of developing and scaling successful programmes or initiatives.Time and resource management.Desirable:Experience public speaking or presenting at meetings/events.Comfortable with reporting tools, tracking KPIs, and gathering feedback.Competence in Microsoft Office.Strong written and verbal communication.Skills & Professional KnowledgeInnovation & Continuous ImprovementProgramme & Project DevelopmentData & Insight AnalysisDigital LiteracyCommunication & InfluenceAccountability & Professional ExcellenceCompetenciesCore Competencies1.
