This role supports the implementation, integration, and ongoing support of the HRIS within UPMC's Global Technology Operations Centre (GTOC) in Europe, serving Ireland, Italy, and Croatia. Under the general direction of Applications Services Manager, the Senior Systems Analyst HRIS oversees the software management lifecycle for the HRIS across our EU footprint.Primary responsibility is the ongoing assessment, design, development and implementation of HRIS applications and modules. The role analyzes information from multiple sources, distinguishes user needs from business needs, and partners with business users, project managers, consultants and IT leadership to optimize scope, benefits and risks of projects and manage stakeholder expectations.ResponsibilitiesSystem implementation and integration. Serve as the technical lead and business partner to internal customers throughout ongoing HRIS implementation.Serve as the liaison between HR, information services, external vendors and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.Provide the project management team with identified risks, concerns and ambiguities discovered during requirements gathering; assist in developing solutions.Partner with project managers to complete requirements documentation in alignment with project schedules.Plan, coordinate and support user acceptance testing and subsequent deployments in coordination with other team leaders.Perform end-user and application support, solve problems, and resolve application function defects; provide systems and application training.Support HRIS integration with other UPMC applications/solutions (e.g., Payroll, Time and Attendance).System maintenance and innovation — Oversee and maintain the HRIS function, including configuration, development, maintenance, and upgrades; manage permissions, access, personalization and other system operations for HRIS users.Manage external interfaces, constraints, quality issues and non-functional requirements; document changes to baseline requirements through change control; develop test plans, release notes and user/training guidelines.Manage the application pipeline of requests, prioritizing with stakeholders and application workgroups.Develop and maintain robust upgrade/patching processes including testing and go-live decisions.Collaborate with business process owners and technical teams to develop, implement and manage Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions in line with Criticality and Business Continuity Plans.Perform vendor management, monitor performance, and escalate issues as required; facilitate end-user support escalations and root cause analysis in collaboration with the technical team.Design HR-centric workflows that reflect how HR operates and address common HR problems.User support and trainingProvide technical support, troubleshooting and guidance to HRIS users.Collaborate with executive leadership and HR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommend and implement solutions.Drive change management with regular communications and end-user trainings.Foster a team-first approach, coordinating with multiple teams to complete projects and initiatives.Performs additional duties and management responsibilities as assigned.Equal Opportunity Statement and BenefitsUPMC is an equal opportunity employer.
