This role presents a chance to spearhead business development initiatives, driving growth and expansion through strategic planning and execution. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, fostering client relationships, expanding market presence, developing and executing strategic plans to meet revenue targets, and collaborating closely with internal teams.
Main Responsibilities:
* New Opportunity Identification: Conduct in-depth research to identify potential growth areas and viable income streams for the business, encompassing Architectural, Design Certifier, Assigned Certifier, PSDP, Quantity Surveying, and Fire Engineering roles.
* Pursuing New Business: Proactively pursue new business opportunities through methods such as market research, networking, cold calling, and preparing proposals.
* Client Relationship Management: Negotiate with stakeholders and nurture key accounts to their full potential, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
* Industry Updates: Stay up-to-date on industry developments, market positioning, and competitor strategies to inform business planning.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: Relevant third-level qualification, preferably in Architecture or Engineering.
* Experience: 3-7 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, with a strong track record of hitting sales targets.
* Certification: Training or certification in bid/proposal writing (e.g., APMP) is an advantage.
* Skill Set: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with clients and stakeholders. The role also demands leadership, strategic thinking, and strong self-motivation.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency with IT, managing leads, reporting, and tracking progress. Commercial acumen and strong analytical skills are also required.
