Project Engineer
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. The role is responsible for managing and executing various sub-projects within the IC4 project, including machine sub-assemblies, bespoke test equipment, test benches, and other miscellaneous equipment.
2. Provide regular updates to the IC4 Machines Group Lead regarding project progress.
3. Manage project portfolios in terms of timelines, justification, and execution.
4. Act as a team member on large site projects, contributing as a project engineer to specific equipment components.
5. Collaborate with existing and new vendors to identify potential new and improved technologies related to membrane manufacturing and onsite processes.
Reporting to the IC4 Machines Group Lead or IC4 Engineering Manager, your duties will include:
1. Determine project schedules by studying plans and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing tasks.
2. Assign responsibilities by identifying project phases and ensuring resources and timelines are aligned.
3. Incorporate process improvement into all new equipment and identify best-in-class solutions.
4. Keep all relevant groups updated on project progress and ensure meetings are action-oriented.
5. Manage and control relevant capital budgets.
6. Identify and collaborate with market companies providing engineering expertise for critical projects, establishing standards for purchased items and machine design.
7. Ensure projects comply with safety and environmental standards, supporting EHS in risk assessments.
8. Assist the technical team with machine setup, maintenance, and equipment issues.
9. Ensure personnel are trained on new technologies introduced via projects.
10. Utilize site project management systems for project control.
11. Coordinate review and update of documentation and handover packs.
12. Manage validation activities in collaboration with the validation department.
13. Support technological changes and ensure compliance with GMP and safety rules.
14. Support FAT and IOQ protocol preparation and execution.
Candidate Requirements
1. Level 8 qualification or Level 7 with significant experience.
2. Extensive experience in capital project execution.
3. Deep knowledge of machinery and system design and operation.
